they use theitr own one. just like google. it is probably an abriviation on php and somekind of ownmade database struktured system. wikipedia uses php mysql und text files. if you need to programm a website, use php&mysql. that's the best solution

Yahoo primarily uses PHP running off FreeBSD. They also use perl on some occasions, and compiled C++ libraries to do certain tasks.
