HI. We live in an area where loads of kids hang out and a couple of years ago they threw a brick at our sky dish - and very funny they thought too! I`m afraid if you don`t have insurance it`s going to cost you. We have taken out insurance with sky and we pay about £8 monthly. Get this asap for peace of mind.
We should not have to do this i know, but i`m afraid the kids, and indeed adults too think it`s funny to damage someone`s propery. I wont tell you the words I think of these people, but i`m sure you know.
Get in touch with Sky first thing in the morning, and dont forget that protection plan. As for those `people` I doubt they give a damn and the police probably would not care. sorry mate. know how you feel. makes me so angry for you. happy new year mate.

You can report the incident to the police. If they have damaged property without permission this amounts to criminal damage. Even if it was not intentional, if their behaviour was reckless, they can still be prosecuted.

However the chances of them being made to repair/refund the damage caused are slim. And even then it may take a few months. By which time you would have missed a lot of programmes. You also need to consider who the owner of the aerial is? Is it you or Sky? If it is Sky, they have to make the complaint.

It would probably be easier to speak to your neighbours and request they pay for any costs to repair it. Or consider going through your home insurance or even contacting Sky to see if they could replace it for free, as you were not the person responsible for the damage.

Not sure if that helps - but i hope it does.

Report it to the police and then claim on your insurance. The insurance company will need a crime report number off the police. Contact sky and tell them what has happened. They may be able to re-site the dish and re-route the cable so this can't happen again.

Go directly to the police station and file a report, be sure to bring your diary with you. You may also be able to have harassment charges filed against them as well.

Take my word for it. Report it, or it will continue and get worse. Everything they've done so far has told them they can do things like this and get away with it because there is no penalty. Until they have a penalty, they won't stop.

If the sources is broken, then this may be negligence. yet till the guy deliberately damaged the sources, even as installation the dish, it can't be criminal damage.

report this to the police and hand them your diary. then you can claim back money on your home insurance. if you do not have insurance then shame on you.
