I wished someone very special a particularly fond "Happy New Year" by long distance phone, and I simultaneously pushed the send buttons on an email, an IM message and a file transfer (image) to that very special someone. We counted down together as the big ball dropped in Times Square, NY,NY (watching on digital cable.) We spoke of many reasons why we eagerly anticipate this year, and why we were so happy to be together at its beginning as well as the ending of the year now passed, and we did so with just one single expression, one which signifies and encompasses our fondest hopes.

I usually watch the new years count down on TV but I started watchinv X-Men 3 on DVD at 11:45 and forgot all about it lol. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I was the only one awake, everyone else in my family turned in early. I sat there watching the clock, when it changed to 12:00 I did a little jig, turned out the lights, then went to sleep lol.
