I am pretty sure that New Years Day is a federal holiday in the US, so is not delivered. Also, I believe tomorrow (Tuesday, Jan 2) is a federal holiday in honor of the late President Ford.
Are you asking if mail is run through the processing centers on New Years Day?

She acts this way because you let her. I'm 14, and my mom always tells me stories of when I was 4 years old and I only tried things ONCE because I knew there would be big consiquences. I'll give you an example of a true story. One day I made a HUGE fuss in burger king because I didn't want to leave the play area. I was on the ground in a temper tantrum ( I was 3 ) and then my mother said " right then ". So she picked my up under her arm all the way out to the car, all the way home, and then shoved me into my crib. She figured I'd try to escape, so she leaned against the door. When she felt the handle turning, she screamed at the top of her lungs " GET BACK IN THERE RIGHT NOW! " and then I ran back to my crib. After five minutes I came to the door and said " Mumma, can I come out now? " and she said " Are you going to behave?" and I said " Yes, I'll be good." So I came out, and NEVER pulled another tantrum again. If your kid falls to the ground and hurts there knee, you should ask them if they're okay, rub it, and say " You're fine, go back and play ". If you say " Awww, you poor thing, it's okay" they'll continue to make a big fuss, because you're making it SEEM likes it a big deal, and that they've really hurt themselves. It's the same thing with your problem. If you don't show this girl some tough love, she'll have troubles with her friends and in general, communicating with others when she doesn't get her way. And as for ' I hate you'... wow.... I'll be 15 next year and I have not once said I hate you to my mom, or anyone for that matter. Next time she says "I hate you" say something that will make her feel guilty, such as " Fine, you can go find another mom then. I do so much for you, and you don't even care. I'll remember you said that." And this grocery store buisness...... best thing to do is look at her and say " Don't talk to me until you're going to act like a nine year old" I know it sounds horrible but it will work like a charm. Something that works even better is either " You look like a baby right now " or "Only LITTLE kids throw tantrums..." Then slowly walk away. Hope I helped a bit! I know that it's hard to be a mother, and there's tons of stress, and I wish you the best of luck! ( I don't know first hand but I understand )
