Because "everyone" isn't praying for peace. There are plenty of people that still think fighting is the best way to solve differences in opinion.

For one thing not everyone is praying for peace for the New Year. That is one of many reasons why we can't achieve it.

Because some people are praying to a God that says that all the people that are praying to other Gods are evil and must be destroyed and by killing these people you will get into Heaven.

i think we achieved peace on ourselves not the peace for this planet...its impossible..if there is a totally peace here on earth what is the use of militar? bmobs? guns? and if there is no war there is no peace..war is present for the reason to have peace..everything happens for a reason...the planet is populated.

We WILL have "world peace" when Christ returns, and ONLY WHEN Christ returns. "We" can't achieve it because it is prophesied that we won't. Why?.Because God knows that we are not capable of achieving it.
