The Parthenon is a real building, constructed between 448 and 431 and it was a Temple dedicated to Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom. It is on top of the Acropolis, in Athens, capital of Greece.
The site is visitable but not the Parthenon, which you can see from outside.

YES it is real and quite beautful. You can visit the Parthenon on the Acropolis of Athens. There have been changes made, you can no longer walk through the Parthenon, just around it. There is a museum there as well, on the Acrpolis. NO FLASH!
I say go for it! You will not be let down. What you will see is what created our culture today.
Have fun!

It's still standing. It was built as a temple to Athena and is the largest structure on the Acropolis in Athens.
