I just saw "Little Miss Sunshine". I know for a fact in these pageants, they put so much makeup on them you can't even tell they'yre little girls anymore but for their size. But do some of them really have a bathing suit portion to the contest?

To Face It, the movie was a whole lot of nothing in my opinion. I did like the fact it sort of exposed the ridiculousness of these pageants and the scene at the end of the pageant was rather funny.

No you're not. My stomach still churns every time I see those old pictures of Jonbenet Ramsey all dollied up like a miniature dancehall tart with all that makeup and those ridiculous clothes. I think a lot of these little kids' mothers are trying to somehow live their own frustrated wishes through their children. I can think of nothing worse than making these very young littlegirls act like ridiculous puppets. Take the childhood away from the child, and they can never get it back.

The parents are living their own dreams through their children. Even though young girls like this have been kidnapped and abused in the past, their parents still put them under this risk.
I'm not sure about the bathing suit part, but if they do, I'd consider it sick and wrong.

No, you aren't the only one. I think that they are twisted too. Why someone would willingly dress their child up to look like it's an adult is totally beyond me. It is too twisted a world to do that. There are so many pedophiles out there why would you willingly display your child that way. Parents make them look like little adults and then the sick people think it's ok since they don't really look like children. I would not want someone looking at my child like that!

They are sick and so are the parents who push there children to compete and dress like a prostitute. Some of these competitions do have swim suit portion. It's disgusting and I think it should be illegal for anyone under the age of 10years old to be competing.

The entire idea of making up little girls to look twice their age, or more, is daft. If our society must judge girls, ludicrous at best, why not judge them on intelligence, physical strength, talent? Why not judge these girls on imagination, quick thinking, ambition? Why judge a young girl on her ability to look older than she is?
Mom and Dads need to wake up. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING??

Those contests are run by child molesters. And the parents that let their child enter those contests are child molesters as well. They exploit these little girls and think nothing of the consequences of their actions. It should be illegal.

I totally agree, it is taking away the innocence of a young girl to have people leering at them.
It causes bad things, take Jon Benet Ramsey for example?
Its a shame that parents can do that to their childre, its like they want the attention on themselves!

I don't know Jason but i believe it is mothers living their life through their little girls. Very sad . Just think about what it got Jon Benet.

I saw that too.. wasnt that crazy?!! I loooved the end! She was so cute too.
I hope moms dont put their daughters out like the ones on that movie... talk about a phedophiles dream.. it was disturbing to watch.
