Because if you notice prisions are single sexed, and the only piece of *** a man can get in a single sex prision is another man, and when their sexual urge gets the better of them, they take what they can get....so they make do with that....i also heard it's a power struggle thing too, all about one man having the power over another.

I went to a boys only boarding school and believe me the same thing applied.
The amount of times I got up in the middle of the night to relieve myself and caught fellow students in bed with each other was quite shocking.
Quite simply people need sex like they need food. If there is no member of the opposite sex about then even the most masculine of heterosexuals will turn queer in order to satisfy his urges.
You must also remember that homosexuality was not always perceived as being an act of perversion as many people consider it nowadays. Back in ancient Greece all men engaged in homosexual relationships. It was the norm. For example Alexander the Great surrounded himself with many male lovers. Women in that society were used purely to produce children.

~No amount of sexual urge would turn me gay. I have never heard of these statistics, or of men turning gay just from being in prison.
If guys do other guys, they must be a homosexual in the first place. I do know other men are forced into it, those I will defend.

hmm....its a bit of a worry for me....now that I am leading a life of crime, I often wonder what would happen to me if I got sent to prison, all those nasty lesbians trying to get in my knickers...say if I didn't fancy them, there would be no escape!

Siara put it best, it is the conditions of the situations. However I wouldn't necessarily try to go there to get lucky. But you may know better than I. Not an environment that I am that familiar with.

Don't let them fool you - its not that hard to keep people of of you in the pen! Unless you are weak to begin with! And someone who does it is gay. Me, my imagination and my girlfriends Handina and Plamseta did OK. I could not wait for lights out!
