Either chili or ravioli. And I agree, I don't think a small portion of chili is to heavy with half cheese sandwich. You want the child to have enough but not too much.

Kids love grilled cheese and I would serve something healthy like carrot sticks and ranch and fruit for a complete lunch.
The other choice like Ravioli, Beef Stew and Chili are more of additional main courses.

Either Ravioli or Chili, kids hate beef stew, or atleast the ones in my house. I would think Ravioli though.

He's probably prefer the Ravioli unless you explain to him that chili can give him stinky farts.

i'm rather partial to chili myself. It's only lunch thougha nd he's only 8 years old, chances are the grilled cheese will be enough to fill him up anyway

Raviolli! Most little boys like that better than beef stew because they see the stew as "healthy". I raised three sons...I remember

Call him and ask him what he'd like to eat. If he hesitates giving you an answer, ask him what his favorite lunch would be OR you could suggest a couple of choices. Beware though, he might choose McDonald's!
