didn't go in it, but it didn't look like there was much too it. Popular hangout, but not the best park in my opinion. Best thing to do is hire four wheelers and cruise around the island.

my parents live on crete so i know quite a lot about the island.....basically my advice would be to do what the other answer said, there are many fantastic and safe beaches all around the island, especially on the east and south east, there are water sports available at most of the beaches and as far as i know, they are all patrolled by life guards. the park is quite expensive. i'm not saying dont go, but look at the alternatives first.
