i have a lot of cassette tapes and dont want to put in the garbage.i want to copy it to cd's.what kind of electronics device do i have to use?

You need to connect a cassette player to either a PC via the audio card or to a stereo with a CD burner. You can then record the audio on the tape to a CD. If you have access to a PC, it may be worth the expense and effort to purchase an audio card that will allow the analog inputs. You could then remove some of the distortion and hiss from the tape inputs.

Here's what I do. I have an audio CD recorder connected to my stereo. I burn the cassette onto a CD, then I use Cakewalk Pyro to reduce hiss, and put in tracks.

You could also get an audio board, like SoundBlaster Audigy, to "capture" the cassettes directly to your computer.

no idea but would like to know as well where the heck did you find cassette tapes anyway?
