When a husband has a history of profiles on dating sites, and answers an e-mail with, "upload a photo and I'll let you know. I want a friend too." Husband has been married for 14 years and has 3 children. He has not had a physical affair, and states that this is not "cheating" because it's on the computer.

hi,
i think that there is some stagnation affecting your marriage. most marriages have similar periods of stagnation. it is a good thing that he has not had a physical affair but he may consider this later if stagnation remains. you can discuss this with your husband with no one accusing the other. both of you will try to have a meaning of what happened. no one can understand what happened except you and your husband. best wishes.

Using any facility or media, if the husband posts an ad on dating site, then the wife should worry :) I can't help with giving any suggestions though, since the wife should know best on what's been going on -or not- in their marriage and might have the power to change it to better :)
Good luck..

Cheating is exactly what it is. If he hasn't cheated physically yet, (which I doubt), he certainly is shopping for it. Why go on a dating site if you aren't dating? Doesn't make sense does it? He can state whatever he wants. Put your foot down, or attach it to his rearend and kick him out the door.

ok you got to let your husband have some private space. as long as your husband didn't cross the line and did something considered as physical affairs, you can't say it is "cheating".

just like kid playing computer games with killing scenario. you can't your kid has killed a person because what he does is only killing some characters in the computer games.

If it isn't cheating, he won't mind if you supervise his computer time to show you what he is up to. Maybe you could post a profile too!!!

He is looking for someone to cheat with IF he hasn't done it already.

It's ultimately up to you whether you believe that is cheating or not. I Personally consider that cheating. She uses the word "friend" but it is obviously not platonic because why would he need a picture of her? I think intent determines faithfulness....What is his intent with this/these women?
