This Country has already reached rock bottom financially. To all the morons out there who think he,s done well, you deserve him.Taxes are simply to cover up the massive errors that this brain dead chancellor has committed. In reply to one of the answers, people are leaving this country in large numbers and taking their know-how and finances elsewhere.I,ll shortly be one of them.I,m fed up with supporting the scroungers from here and abroad. Bonjour, and will the last person left - switch of the lights.

How do you think we are going to pay off the massive record debt . Bush has destroyed America and like Russia fell so will America .
Japan And China will over the next 20 years become the worlds controlling force .
Its all about labor and money .Japan and China have lots of both .They will get India and the middle east behind them because for centuries Europe and now America have plundered and attempted to control Asia and the middle east ,For political ,religious and for resources in labor or goods .
When will we wake up and realize freedom comes from independence .
Till we produce our own energy and are not paying others for it we will be at the mercy of the rest of the world .

I should not think so.I personally have never lived as well as I have under this govt. , and never thought I have been overtaxed. You have to contribute in some way.If it is so bad I don't know why people just don't clear off somewhere else.May be they just enjoy themselves by picking holes in the policies of which ever party has a majority?Speaking from a wealth of experience I can tell you there were far more holes to pick at in the policies of the last tory govt than you could ever find with our current lot.

Well if you don't want an education system, a health service, social services for your old gran, or anything that remotely resembles a successful economy, then stop paying your taxes.
Alternatively, pay up like the rest of us for the good of society and get rid of the 42" plasma HD ready TV you just bought.

Yes it is called Inheritance tax. Anything over £250K is liable to it. As for Taxes. It'll probably be the Americans who'll kill us first with a "Friendly Fire" Nuclear missile.
