Who says we got a *****, and why do you care. BTW, since you are here bashing Americans, what country do you come from. Why aren't you looking at the problems you have there instead of whining about the USa on the internet?

Have you not been to the mall in DC? The b0ner is permanent and is manifested in the rigidity of the Washington Monument (which is actually hollow and made of teflon...it would collopse without our continued excitement). So the above mentioned "happiness" is independent of any one event and is probably best understood as a matterof general civic participation.

No, being female, I am precluded from that experience.
I think that people are interested in things like the execution of Saddam because it is something that is (for now) restricted from public view.
I personally had never seen an actual hanging or execution, and I wanted to see it for clinical, not entertainment purposes.
Of course, it didn't hurt that the person being executed was a mass murderer.
BTW - they had the noose too far forward, that was why his head was at that angle.

I am American and I HATE capital punishment. What they did to Saddam was wrong. His trial was unjust. The U.S. and Japan are the only two industrialized nations to support captial punishments because all the other industrialized nations see it for what it is--EVIL!
