Respect the fact that you have a friend that has some amount of decentcy to respect other people's wishes and be true to their promises. Don't penelize someone for being a good person.

You have two choices here. If she/he is your friend, they shouldn't keep secrets from you. Some secrets should stay secrets if they are only going to hurt you unless you NEED to hear them.
How did you find out that he/she had a secret? If they told you they knew a secret but won't tell you, they are taunting you, trying to give you doubts about the relationship. They may be stirring trouble to have him all to their self.

Two things here.
First, ask them questions and let them signal if you are right or wrong. This way they didn't actually tell you.
If they won't do that, go to him. If he doesn't tell you either, then let them have at it. They deserve each other.

Kick the friend and/or the boyfriend to the curb. The friend values your boyfriend more than you. If its serious the friend might be helping the situation get worse, but maybe better. Id still get rid of them if they are keeping little stuff like this from you imagine in years to come what this friend will try to keep from you

You should be so lucky as to have a friend who keeps her promises! A promise is a promise. It's a person's word of honor. If she keeps her promise to him that means she will keep her promises to you. Honor that.
