I don't think it was cruel, not as cruel as the men who got their heads cut off by a dull knife as they were screaming. Guess you didn't watch any of the beheading videos.

I don't know where you get your information from, but Saddam was tried by an IRAQI court ran under a REAL "Democratic" process - and even at that, had its own Iraqi developed ideal of Democracy, not exactly like the United States runs things.
Judges were removed for various reasons (valid ones) and the last one was talking to Saddam favorably, not as a Judge who is impartial. That Judge would have let Saddam lose on the public.., and that could not be allowed. He murdered enough people before and the killing he would do if allowed to roam free would make the chaos going on now, look like a girl-scout pie throwing contest.

What was to be gained by leaving him alive? He killed countless numbers of innocents - not executing would be a perversion of justice, saying that the rights of a villainous monster are more important than the rights of the ordinary people he gassed to death or had officers kidnap, rape, torture and kill.
And the court wasn't illegal, it was an all-Iraqi court and they kept changing judges because Saddam's people kept kidnapping and MURDERING people involved in the trial.
Seriously, why all this love for the bad guy? Should we be celebrating Hitler's birthday, or throwing Holocaust parties?

I still do not know,Why Iraq was invaded and why Saddam was arrested? He could have killed thousands of people but that one is Iraq's internal affair and Nobody has the rights to question that.I could remember this can happen only with Taliban's and Military ruled countries like Pakistan.
This is not going to be good for US people too. This is just going to result in more killing of the troops.
This could possibly result in fight among the Muslim communities all over the world,This could be a blunder mistake done by US.
Actually US troops have killed 25000 Iraq people(info from Official sources it must be more than 75000 at least). They have lost 3000 Soldiers(Again actual figures could be more than 7000) I do not know who is going to HANG BUSH?

Your facts are a little wrong. He was tried by an Irage Court and judges were changed because of fear of death. I don't agree in Capital Punishment. I think it is immoral. While citizens have the obligation to remove dangerous people from society only a Higher Being has the right to take a life. I am not sad for him. He really was not a sympathetic person; I am sorry for Man"s continued Inhumanity to man.

He disserved to be executed but I have to argue on saying his court was “Democratic”
I don’t think being judged by your enemies is being judged fairly.
If it was going to be fair and clear he should have been judged by an international court but if it was though some countries must have answered for the helps they gave to him when he was in power. They shut ed him up and the best way was by giving him to people which didn't want anything but his death.
Of course everyone knows why this was done.

Even if you are opposed to the death penalty in ordinary situations, Saddam Hussein was a special case. He murdered hundreds of thousands of his own citizens, and led a reign of torture and rape. This does not count combat deaths. He was hanged on the gallows where some of his own victims were hanged.

there is nothing crueal about it because he did the same thing to people that he thought were weak and not worthly. Plus we proved that he is not god like he though he was.
If he wouldnt of gotton the death penalty he would be in federal prison living the good life with 3 meals a day satilite tv. He would live better than people who are not in prison
so he deserved what he got
BUT THEY SHOULD OF DRAGGED HIM DOWN THE STREET LIKE THEY DID HIS STATUE

Capital punishment is immoral, it doesnt matter if the victim is a mass murderer or not. The path to retribution does not lie in sinking to the same level by taking a life.

Yes i am glad he is dead. And just how was the courts decision illegal? Are you going by US court or Iraqi court rules and procedures? Do you have any proof of these accusations or are you just another Saddam sympathizer?
