according to the media, Saddam, was saying a Muslim prayer which states that there is one Allah and his messenger, Muhammad. On the second repeat recital - the trap-door dropped from under him as he said the word, Muhammad.

Was it worthy of him? I do not take any stock in Islamic beliefs so I choose not to comment any more than that. But if there is a hell (and I believe there is).., Saddam, is smoking right about now. Not cigars but himself.

According to CNN, Hussein's last words were to recite the Shahada ("There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet"), and the floor dropped as he said the word "Muhammad".

Some say it was "God is great." others said that he said Al Shahada,"there is no God but Allah and Mohammed is the messenger of Allah".
we are not here to judge people, only God can judge us and only God can decide whether he was worthy of these last words.
happy new year.

Apparently his final word was "Mohammed".

Hate the way the "observers" behaved towards him..all very tacky and inhunane. He may have been a brutal murderer, but his captors ( and by association that means the US too) didn't have to sink to his level.

Apparently he said the muslim creed, and his last word was "Muhammed".

The treatment of him wasn't worthy of a democratic society. They still have a lot to learn in Iraq.
