It is considered unprofessional. There are lots of "gray" answers about why someone would do it. But they all spell the same thing - not recommended because not the right thing to do.
A professional environment is not a personal playground. Employees are expected to make the right decision for the company, not for personal reasons.

You can but it is not wise to do so. There is problems that comes with being involved with a co-worker. If you guys were to make love, he/she may go and say your easy to his/her friends.

you can.... but it is difficult to keep a relationship outside work if you are working with your partner. and one wouldn t be as free if the partner is working with him/her.
