Excellent question!!
Yes, sometimes it does feel that way. I come from an old fashioned family, and the changes that have occured in the world in about the last 10 to 15 years baffle me. It's now about who's in front, who talks the loudest, and who can get the most support for their view. Everyone is in it for themselves, and often just use a cause to further their own gains...makes me wish for the good old days.

Well, sort of, I used to be quite introverted, but I married a very blatent, outgoing, in-your-face kind of guy, and some of it has rubbed off. I do like being quiet tho, it's amazing the kinds of things people will tell you if you have a personality like that!

Yes and it can be done.
I just move along and let other people be pushy.
I still get what I want but I don't make a lot of noise and fuss about it.
You would hardly even know I was around.

Yes, although I'm slowly breaking out of my shell because of an organization I'm in. I'm vp right now but next year I will be president. I'm really hoping that my shell will have broken off by then.
