I have been married little under a year, and guess what?? I do ZERO housework. Because my wife is such a neat freak, and likes the house her way, I just sit back and say "knock yourself out". I do vacuum 3 rooms LOL.
She likes to clean on Sundays which is great cause I watch football from sun up till sun down : )
I am not lying trust me, she tells me "ill do it" whenever I would try to help out. So what Im telling you guys, if you're chick wants to clean, just let her.
Oh yeah, she does the wash, and cooks 6 days a week while most women are nagging their husbands to go out and eat which we rarely do. Hey, if she likes to do all this, I sure as hell aint stopping her.
Anyone else like this or do I have a rare woman??
BTW I only know 2 other women like this.

This will weigh on you unless you start insisting you help her NOW. Sure right now she seems like the perfect housewife- wait til you have children. So please...do your job as a husband and help.

Well now you know three!!! I guess I am what you call compulsive obsessive about housework in general. I need to do it my way and it has to be spotless. Think 50's housewife if you like, Donna Reed or Edith Bunker , actually I bought 3 aprons on E-Bay recently that were called Edith Bunker aprons. There is no way I would let my significant other do anything other than wipe up the dishes and put away (if I am busy), defiantly no major cleaning. Inside the house is MY domain.

I am the same kind of wife to my husband although he offers to help occasionally after having worked a 50 hour week. You are very lucky and perhaps you should help out a bit- she may too proud to ask you for help. Running a house and being a mom of three kids (ages 3-9) is a full time job alone. Of course, your wife could use some help.

Dude, yes I have an incredible wife like this. Only difference is I help her accomplish the things that she wants. That demonstrates on a daily basis the love and respect I have for her. Our relationship just keeps getting better after 14 years, 12 of them in marriage.

You are a very blessed man but you know what help her every now and then and be wise. Tell her you love her and she will respect you for it. Love and respect are so necessary in a committed relationship. GOd commands men to love thier wives UNCONDITIONALLY and tells wives th RESPECT their men UNCONDITIONALLY. If a man does not tell his wife he loves her (and all women need to hear that regularily) the woman loses heart and thinks he does not love her and then rsepect goes right down the tubes. ALl men want their wives to respect them and will get respect if they tell their wives they love them over and over. Its the way woman are. (Emotional) Men are emoptional on a different level. SOme men think their wives know they love them, but never say I LOVE YOU! Its the two most important ingredients to a successful marriage. From it stems accountability, maturity , consideration for one another and excellent communication. I wish someone had taken the trouble to tell me that when we were newly married.
Buy the following books to help you both along. FOr the man: WILD AT HEART BY JOHN ELDEREDGE. Your wife must read it too. FOr the wife CAPTIVATING by STACI ELDREDGE AND JOHN ELDREDGE. FOr you both the book LOVE AND RESPECT by Dr Emerson Eggerichs.
THese books are so good and will help you both grow closer and closer as a team.
MAy your marriage outshine all those around you and be the best!
God bless you both.

Maybe she likes things to be done "her" way. I know I do and I will do the same for my b/f when we get married. But you should let her know how much you appreciate her and be willing to help if she needs it. Little gifts of appreciation would be nice. Happy New Year to you both!!

Had a wife like that. After ten years she "discovered" she wasn't happy and threw my fannie out. Enjoy while it lasts. You can't go down a one-way street forever.
