There used to be commercials advertising the HBO channel, and the spokesperson was some green monster thing in a trench coat (i think...thats how i remember him anyway). I know its not a cartoon, but still. Every time one of those commercials would come on, i would get really scared and hide. sometimes, i even refused to stay in the living room alone because i was afraid that one of those commercials would come on!

I'm famous for sleepwalking, after we went to a haunted house one time...I was yelling "Dracula is chasing me!", and running up and down the hallway.
30 years later and I'm still hearing about that one... :-)

The Elephant Man. My mom watched that movie when I was a child. I didn't even know it wasn't a horror movie till I was in my 20's. I still decline to watch it.

I wasn't so much scared by any character, but the thing that always used to terrify me (if I'm honest I still don't like it) is when you have a woman, supposedly possessed with a man/devils voice.........
