You need money to live in modern society, to provide shelter, food, clothing, and other necessities. It is difficult to cultivate friendship or have someone love you without the above, let alone the money to go out and socialize. So, while money may not be "better" exactly in as far as the joy it can bring, it is a necessity and prerequisite for any outside relationship.

Friendship, because money will eventually dissapear if you keep using it, the person your in love with could break up with you. Friends are the closes thing to family. With friends, you have someone you can rely on when things aren't going so well for you.

Money of course. With it don't you notice how everyone wants to be your friend. Everyone likes you. Laugh at your jokes. When you have moeny you have friends.
Money can buy love too. That person might not love you, but your money. So it does buy loves. Look at male and female gold diggers. Anna Nicole, for instance.
Money can get you everything you want.

If I needed to build a jacuzzi, money will allow me to hire a plumber. He will not do it out of friendship, much less for love.
