im thinking of getting my belly pierced but i am worried about what my belly will look like once i decide not to wear a belly ring anymore... any experience?

yes. I currently have my belly pierced for the 2nd time. like any skin healing places it looks different on everyone. When I took out my first piercing the hole could still be seen, though it is pretty small, like the size of the tip of the pen where the ink comes out. I am sure you have seen pierced ears w/out earings in them and the holes are visible right? same with your belly. nose piercings however are not noticable after removing the ring. though I still have some scar tissue inside my nostril I can feel. I have had mine pierced for over 15 years, I even kept it in through my whole pregnancy. But I tell everyone I know of that is thinking of it not to do it. I have never had so many problems with anything in my life. It was pretty much infected off and on for about 2 years. It ripped and has scarring above it, it doesn't look very good anymore. I keep it in because I know it would look a lot worse if I took it out. Please think very hard about this, it was a big mistale for me.

Go for it!! I've had mine done twice. I no longer wear a ring, but it's just a tiny little scar that is left behind. It does hurt tho. Good luck and enjoy!

I've ripped out my belly piercing twice (I'm clumsy when I'm sleepy!) and the scar is fading, but will probably always be there. (Which is okay cos i kind of like it!)

At this point my 88 year old Grandma has one. I think they have gotten to common and they look trashy now. Plus like someone said the infections are bad!!! Don't do it.

My aunt (dont worry, she's 24) has a belly peircing and it is really awesome! its so cool, i dont think you'll wanna take it out :) but do not even think abt getting it if ur a guy. on girls, its sexy, but on guys...U-G-L-Y!

You want to make a hole in your body that will need special care, will get infected, will cause you pain, will require that you take antibiotics, and will look not too great and cost money?
