I have a female Yemen Chameleon about 9 months old and i need advice about.........?

Hi there,

Im gone from my flat to visit back home, in the mean time a very capable girl has been looking after my pet Tao daily.

I had wood chips in the bottom of her vivarium and she recently changed it to peat. The details are a bit sketchy as i never asked much but basically she seems to be digging or burrowing holes in the dirt.

I dont really understand much but my friend told me some chameleons have known to die. Something about not laying eggs or something?

I dont want her to die :o(

hi you need to put a deep dish of sand for her to dig in so she can bury eggs if that is what it is trying to do which is most likely. female chameleons do that

Chameleons are very delicate and should not be held this can make them sick and die, I would find a vet soon that handles lizaerds they can remove eggs that are stuck and give you a better idea of what is going on with her.

you could commence offering her finger nutrition alongside with the mashes.... What you do is... Feed her the mushy stuff then positioned some finger nutrition on her tray... enable her take her time.. do no longer rush... enable her have relaxing!! some large starters are meals that are very mushy and diced or issues that dissolve unquestionably.. Cheerios, toddler puffs, kix Diced ripe banana, peaches, pear without peal, avocado, watermelon Peeled, cooked and diced zucchini, squash, carrots, eco-friendly beans... as quickly as she gets a carry of those you could attempt new issues that are a splash greater durable like Crackers and bread, rice, noodles Grapes peeled and diced, different melon, apples, corn, peas, blueberries, mangoes, potatoes...
