My fiance family are having a new years party, i went to one of them last year, and i was very bored and on edge.
he reallys wants me to go, but i dont know if i should?

god, i hate family things...no offence to the in-laws i like them all individually just not as a collective group!
will they be offended if you dont go? as you are going to be part of the family soon! What does your fiance feel...does he want you there? I always want my fella there at family do's!
how about you go for an hour, let your fiance know you want to spend time with your family as well and split your time between the two families?
If you really really dont want to go, then explain to him your not up for it and tell him to give your love & apologies to his family!

I'd go simply because it's his family and it wouldn't seem right if you guys didn't show up at least. It doesn't mean you have to stay for a long time I mean they don't know if you guys have any other plans or not. I'd just tell him that if you aren't haven't a good time you'll give him some kind of sign so you guys can leave and just tell the family you guys had some other plans and have to leave. This way no one will look bad. good luck to you. ;o)

Go, but if its not to far drive yourself, stay unil you have had enough and then beg off and leave. Remember to make alternate plans for NYD so you dont have to go next year.

why was you on edge?...was someone pissing you off, or was you expecting someone to start a fight? or do they give you bad vibes?...don't go where your not comfy...stay home, but explain to him why
