It is even more distubring considering the fact that liberals consider the people who volunteer for the military too stupid to get an education( I do not agree.) So liberals are saying soldiers wasted their lives before they joined the military and they wasted their lives while fighting for something they believed in.
It all makes sense though if you understand that secular humanist liberals do not believe in personal sacrafice. For them the only useful end for a life is maximizing their personal pleasure. So any personal sacrafice that benefits others seems unreasonable.
Liberals support the troops by encouraging the troops to make the most of their lives by leaving the military, getting a liberal education, and live a self-serving existence.

Liberals know as much as a box of rocks.. The Liberal ideology is a theory , fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and which holds forth beliefs that have no basis in reality. They are Advocates of a policy that empowers a strong federal government to enslave its people with a high tax burden incident to the support of extravagant and unnecessary social programs destructive to both the work ethic among the lower class, and the incentive to innovate and succeed among the working class. "When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." Liberals like to spend other peoples money!! The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living. Criminals don't pay any attention to laws... If guns were ever banned than only the bad guys would have them..Criminals prefer unarmed victims!! Having a gun will not help all the time but being defenseless will never help.. When seconds matter calling 911 and asking the bad guy to wait is not a viable option. Better to have a gun and not need it than to need it and not have it!!! **Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the crime after it happens.** @

Exactly how are you "supporting" the troops if you are not supporting the mission? To no ones surprise, the fact that the casualty rate hit 3000 was the lead story on CNN this morning.Typical.

I couldn't agree with you more. My husband (who's US Army) and all our friends feel the same way. One of our friends gets SO unbelievably angry when people say stuff like that, because he already served a tour in Iraq, but couldn't go this time around (he was in an accident involving a five-ton and a semi on the autobahn, and it severely damaged his back)...which is a shame, because his former unit is still in the thick of it, and losing troops every day.
He doesn't feel that any one of them were a "waste", and he doesn't feel it's a war for oil. Neither do ANY of the soldiers I've spoken to, save one, and he's not in anymore anyway. He wasn't a very good soldier.

I think "liberals" would counter that they are indeed supporting the troops. What they are not supporting is the mission.
Response to halfway:
I vehemently disagree with the assertion that liberals think those who serve are "too stupid" to do anything else. First, because one person made the regretable statement and second, because I as a liberal consider public service to be one of the highest callings. My dream is to serve in the foreign service and I am devoting five years of my life to reach that dream.

And the republican party says they are pro-life, so what. Why do people fail to understand we can support the troops without agreeing with the mission. Is it possible our kids are being wasted for no damn good reason?
One last thing, this is a liberation, not a war, so tell me why those Iraqi people are so fired up about being liberated? You are a fool spouting hatred towards others by posting such juvenile statements.

This IS a war on terror. If you say a soldier's life is wasted fighting the war, then you are saying you do not support the war. If you are not supporting the mission, then you are not supporting the soldiers. Your manipulation of vocabulary does not make it so!

Same old, same old. "If you don't support the troops" you don't support America and George Bush. Of course we support the troops and how dare you infer otherwise. What we don't support is a President who's sacrificed THREE THOUSAND lives to capture the wrong guy.

Yes - it's terrible to waste a life on a battlefield, but it's ok to do it in an abortion clinic.
