A watershed is the high ground where water flows in two opposite directions. I saw the opposite today - where two streams flowed downhill to come together. Is there a name for that?

The high ground where water flows in opposite directions is called a 'Divide' - like the Continental Divide that seperates rivers that flow to the Atlanitc and Pacific Oceans in the US. Different watersheds are seperated by divides. Where streams join, it is called a confluence.

Americans and Brits use the term 'watershed' in different ways - the former mean the area drained by a particular river- what Brits would call a catchment. I'm not sure how the term is used elsewhere. The questioner seems to be using the British sense in which case the opposite has to be a valley, and where valleys meet up their rivers/streams meet at confluences.

I don't think there is and "opposite" of a watershed. You might be looking for the term basin which is a low are where water collects.
