Not only can you be evicted, but the landlord can win a damage award against you in court if they document with photos that you trashed the place...like garbage or stains. Most states allow unpaid damage awards to be collected through a garnishment of wages (money taken out of your paycheck) or by placing a lien (like on the only thing you probably have-a vehicle).

So get smart. Try apologizing and keeping the place damn near perfect. Finish the lease, give appropriate notice to vacate and Move! Don't burn any bridges with these people. You will have to list them on your next residential application. And you don't want to have to go live in public housing with people who treat property like you have. Straighten UP!

No landlord is going to evict a good paying tenant unless they are not taking care of his property. You are rather vague, but if there is a problem in housekeeping, the I suggest complying with what the landlord wants or find another place to live.

well, if you just throw the watermelon rinds and banana peels on the floor after eating, then that's bad. and pizza boxes everywhere is not good, too. also, vacuuming and dusting at least once a year would be nice. and making sure the bathroom isn't like a new york city porta-potty is important as well.

I know of several people who have been threatened with eviction for poor housekeeping. All of them took the threat seriously and cleaned up.
