The deadline is January 6th. But you can take them down before that. It isn't unlucky to have them down early just to have them still up late.

Meant to be down by the feast of the Epiphany (sorry for spelling) The Twelve days of Christmas? Count twelve days from Xmas till the Magi arrive. That's the feast of the Epiphany.

Twelve days of christmas - so need to come down by jan 6th but isn't bad luck to take them down before - just to leave them up after.

Christmas decorations go up 12 days before and come down 12 days after.
That's the traditional way.
Or
When you get fed up with them.

Traditionally it's the 12th day of Christmas, but we had to take our tree down today because it was shedding so much! We are the keeping the advent wreath up though.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think it is ten days after christmas. I have already taken my tree down as I get fed up with it quite quickly.

My Gram did it New Year's day, and burned the tree to burn off bad luck. My mum took it out the day after Christmas, and still others say on the sixth or later is okay.
Mabe it really doesn't matter.
