so you've told me about your strengths. Tell me, What is your weakness?

What's the best way to answer that? Any HR generalists out there that can give advice?

That is such an awful question, but some interviewers still use it.

Try flipping it into a positive. "sometimes at work, (especially on Mondays) I get impatient with people who want to spend the first 1/2 hour of the day rehashing what they did over the weekend. I think I sometimes come across as anti-social.

You answer this question by giving the interviewer another strength. For example rather than say that you hate getting out of bed in the morning and are frequently late for work (which is a really bad thing to say), you may say something such as, "I tend to get so involved in my work that I often end up staying extra hours just to get the project done." Depending on the job and the company this could be either a positive or a negative statement. Maybe the company doesn't want you to work overtime. However, stating that you are a diligent worker is never really a bad thing. I'm sure you can think of a a "positive weakness" that would apply to your situation.

Give her a weakness that you are honestly working on improving but wouldn't be a hindrance for you to do the job. If your weakness is inadequacy on certain skills, then state what you have been doing to eliminate this weakness (e.g. getting advice from people you trust has expertise on your weakness or by reading up, looking through books or the internet). If its about your personality or a bad habit, telling the interviewer about it may be a mistake especially if its something difficult to overcome.

Something that is not related to the post you apply for? Or something likes "want to get tasks done asap, might get stressed up sometimes"? Or, about the course you are doing, means you know what you need to improve.

Havent been asked this question before. Good luck!
