I've had Norton's and I was very unimpressed as my computer ran super-slow and it got infected too.
I now use Kaspersky although AVG is also very good- and both are free.
I like Kaspersky as there is a daily update and doesn't interfere too much with speed.
I'd avoid Trend Micro and McAfee- in my opinion they're overrated

No!
Norton Antivirus slows down your computer. Norton only goods for its utilities. but for antivirus? forget Norton.
Move to AVG Antivirus, you can even get the free version and free updates everyday...

btw, i live in Indonesia, and pirated softwares are abundant here. and norton antivirus (despite the fact that it is pirated) is still not in the list of choice...

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

download firefox for free, Just have a try:

I got this installed 2 weeks ago and had to uninstall it as it slowed down my computer drastically!. I would not recommend this program for that reason.
