I'm proud to live here. It's a beautiful city, in a beautiful area. I love the weather here, the fact that we still have seasons, but they are more moderate than in other parts of the country. I love the liberal politics, the political correctness, and the diversity here. I've only been here for 4 years, but moving here was the best choice I ever made!!

I just moved back here from Las Vegas a year ago.

Seattle is too crowded, nothing is open downtown after 5 pm except outrageously expensive restaurants and trendy Belltown Cafes.

I hate the bums and winos and panhandlers EVERYWHERE!!!!
It does smell like urine all over the city when it is warm out. Absolutely TRUE!!!

Prices are thru the roof.
I have never seen so many For Sale signs on houses in my life.

MANY closed storefronts and lots of vacant high-rise space,...
yet they keep building and building.
Looks gloomy financially for Seattle in the near future.

We moved to Kitsap area because it was cheaper and can barely afford it here!

Washington is NOT a cheap place to live.

I first moved here in 1990 because it was a lot cheaper than Boston.
Moved away and came back a few times since than only to find it more crowded and rundown in some places, over developed in others and just as expensive as Boston, if not higher.

The people have totally changed in 17 years.

People were much freindlier, less afraid and less screwed up on meth. The laid-back former hippy liberal mentality has given way to pushy, selfish whiners and complainers.

The people are really fat for the most part and the men are so softspoken they all seem gay.
I have never seen so many masculine women too.

Why have so many of the businesses closed down on Capitol Hill?

I don't like the weather during the fall and winter. Its always wet, and doesn't get quite cold enough for snow. No white Christmases. Perfect slug weather. Depressing.

The transportation system stinks. Bad traffic.

The people are pretty bland too, speaking in general. Theres things I like about Seattle too but I plan to move back to California soon for these reasons I listed above, even though the cost of living is usually a bit higher

There is a lot of money flying around Seattle - so there is no excuse for the Panhandlers, the Homeless, and unemployed youth all over Downtown and Pioneer Square. It is a disgrace and someone should take a Giant Broom and sweep them down to California or Boot Camp.

Its a nice wet place, lots to do and see. I moved over here from Eastern Washington and there is a lot more opportunity in Seattle. The people are different and a bit overly smug but its OK.

Moved here from Chicago 6 months ago. The weather here is great, but I miss snow:( Transportation sucks. I walk everywhere faster. The hills suck. It smells like urine everywhere when it's warm. I miss good pizza, Mexican food, Mexican grocery stores on every corner, Thai grocery stores, good chai, 24 hour trains, liquor stores being open when you actually feel like drinking, people who are openly opinionated, non-repressed hatred, oh let me stop. I'm sure it's a nice town if you don't know any other way of living...I love Safeco, seeing mountains all around, Uwajimaya, and I'm sure there's something else. It's a nice place to visit, I just don't like living here.

The Seahawks lost to the Steelers last year and this year Bald Man Hasselbeck and Lumpy Ol' Shaun Alexander will let you down again.
