You refer to the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedonia (or Greek Macedonia).
There were several kings with name starting from A. In total there were three Greek royal families that ruled the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedonia.
From the Argead Dynasty( 808-310 BC) we have 18 kings with a name starting from A
Argaeus I 678-640 BC
Aeropus I 602-576 BC
Alcetas I 576-547 BC
Amyntas I 547-498 BC
Alexander I 498-454 BC
Archelaus 413-399 BC
Aeropus II 399-396 BC
Archelaus II 396-393 BC
Amyntus II 393 BC
Amyntas III 393 BC
Argaeus II 393-392 BC
Amyntas III (restored) 392-370 BC
Alexander II 370-368 BC
Amyntas IV 359-356 BC
Alexander III (the Great) 336-323 BC
Antipater, Regent of Macedon 334-319 BC
Philip III Arrhidaeus 323-317 BC, only titular king
Alexander IV (son of Alexander the Great) 323-310 BC, only titular king
From the Antipatrid Dynasty (306-294BC) we have only 2 kings with a name starting from A
Alexander V 296-294 BC
Antipater II 296-294 BC
From the Antigonid Dynasty we have 3 kings with a name starting from A
Antipater II Etesias 279 BC
Antigonus II Gonatas 277-274 BC and 272-239 BC
Antigonus III Doson 229-221 BC
Hope I’ve helped.
(Do not confuse the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedonia or Macedon (which was the birth place of Alexander and it is also known as authentic Macedonia of Greece) with a modern Balkan state that uses the name Macedonia. The confusion has started a few years ago because that small state started to use the name “Republic of Macedonia” causing a great confusion with real Macedonia in Greece.}

This is for Capricious.
Sorry but you are deeply mistaken..
The international community does NOT recognise the country that you refer to as Macedonia but rather it is recognised as FYROM.
This is because that name that this NEW BORN country chose to call itself (and it is officially called like that only by itself and another 2-3 countries on the planet) clashes with a name that was already been taken by somebody else, a few thousant years back!!
This is like creating a country in the north pole and calling it Inca! And then try to claim that incas lived on the north pole. This is hilarious!!

The Macedonia of popular thought and the Macedonia of ancient Greece are different geographical regions, (Greece-Iraq) although with Alexander's conquest of both regions it becomes a moot point.

what is the matter with you people!
do you have to twist every ******* question about Macedonia and turn it into a ******* argument about weather it's a region or a real country..!
people want real answers, not to listen to your miss understood quarrels.....
anyway for the Greek people...
Macedonia is internationally known as a country....no matter what you say, or believe that will remain a fact
PS
yes... it is Alexander the great
