If you grind up some oats in a pestle & mortar, (or use a blender / chopper), add about a teaspoon full of either Almond or avocado oil, mix in a little honey (about 1 teaspoon) - get it to a consistency you like and hey presto, a perfect mask. The oats help to draw out the impurities, the oil will sooth and soften your skin and the honey will act as an emolient (moisturiser)...
hope it works - good luck!

For dry skin:
*mash up one banana and mix in with 2 tablespoons of honey.
Moisterize into face in circular motions. Leave on up to 10 mins..
wash off with warm water.. to make sure that u got all the mask off, soak a cotton ball in milk and wipe away the leftovers of the mask on your face. This leaves your face really soft.
*another one is:
Butter Face Mask
1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1 egg yolk
Beat both the above ingredients together and apply to face, leave on for 10 minutes and then wash face with lukewarm water. Pat your face dry with a soft towel.
*or:
Honey and Oatmeal Face Mask
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon honey
instant oatmeal enough to make a paste
Mix all the above ingredients together with enough of the instant oatmeal to make a good paste consistency. Smooth this blend all over your face and neck. Leave on the face for 10-15 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water. Pat dry with a soft towel.
*and if none of those work..:
Avocado & Cucumber Face Mask
Step One:
1 cup cucumber, peeled and chopped
1 cup avocado
3 tablespoons finely powdered oats
3 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon honey
Step Two:
8-9 tablespoons clay (you can get this from most any health food stores)
2-3 drops of essential oils (citrus or floral)
In a blender, mix cucumber, avocado, water and lemon juice until smooth. Then add rest of ingredients listed in Step one and blend slightly. Pour this into a bowl and whisk in the clay and the essential oils. Apply to clean dry face and neck and leave on for about 30 minutes. Rinse off afterwards with lukewarm water and then pat dry with a soft towel. Apply toner and good moisturizer. It will keep well in the refrigerator for up to a week.
GOOD LUCK!

a mix of crushed avocado and olive oil. mix into a smooth paste and apply....leave on for about 15 minutes. for a good exfoliator, trying mixing up porridge oats with a bit of water to a thick paste and use this to get rid of the dry skin every week. if your skin ever gets inflamed though probably best not to exfoliate! xxx

Try this site: http://www.soapcrafters.com/recipes_mask.htm
I love their recipes andhave tried a few myself. I find most of the ingredients at my local health food store, farmer's market or online. There are a few reputable herb and natural ingredients merchants on e-bay, too. One of my favorite softening ingredients is shea butter and cocoa butter. The clays are nice, too.
Good luck & have fun.

You don't need to make one. Try Lush (if there's not a branch near you try online). They have specialist mixes. Including an amazing medieval recipe (100% natural). They are brilliant for natural products.
