Did you know that there are white people that move from Africa to America, but they cannot put "African American" on their applications?

They are BLACK people....there is nothing African about them. They are BLACK Americans.

Also! They are not the minority anymore, they haven't been for a while. There are a mass of black "minority" foundations and scholarships that are in no way available for white people! There were a few "whites only" foundations and scholarships, but when presented to the public, were ridiculed and considered "racist".

For example:
CAP CHARITABLE FOUNDATION
• College Scholarships for African-American High School Seniors Who Intend to Pursue Undergraduate Degrees Full-Time
CENTER FOR BLACK STUDIES , UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SANTA BARBARA
• Dissertation Fellowships in Areas Significant to African, Caribbean and/or African-American Studies
CONGRESSIONAL BLACK CAUCUS FOUNDATION
• Congressional Internships
• Congressional Fellowships
• High School Internships
• Spouses Education Scholarships
DEVELOPMENT FUND FOR BLACK STUDENTS IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
• Scholarships
***************I could go on all day*****************

There are also several all black colleges! Are there any all white colleges? Nuh-uh.

I don't want to hear this "Black people are the minority WHAA WHAA WHAA! You fired me 'cause I'm black! Whaa WHAA whaa!"

Yep, there are racist people, and I am NOT one of them. I am just sick and damn tired of people trying to throw color into everything!

There is only ONE race, and that is the human race....AND we all bleed one color...RED!!!!!!!!!

Shut up and get over it!

OH! And as far as compensation for slavery?

THEIR OWN PEOPLE (AFRICANS) SOLD THEM TO AMERICANS! Who at the time weren't Americans...they were still European. So if their OWN people hadn't SOLD them off (there are slaves in Africa, too, dipwad!) they would STILL be stuck over there eating each other!

What are you on about? Depends where you live doesn't it? What relevance does your question have? None in my opinion. Why does it make you feel superior to feel you are the "majority"? Would you feel inferior if you where the "minority"? We are all human beings and should learn to live in peace and see people as inclusive what ever their creed, color, religion or nationality.

Katie what part of my question makes you think i have a chip on my shoulder? a chip about what exactly? I am white and do not feel threatened by people of other minorities and feel they are free to live anywhere on this planet they like. You are the one with the chip feeling that where you live should be exclusive to white people.

I grew up in a multicultural society in Scotland with my neighbors being white, black, Indian, Italian, french, English etc etc and never felt threatened once? They where Sikhs, Hindus, catholics, Muslims, Jehovah's witnesses, Christians and Protestants. I think you need to get out more and see the big wide world out there is full of more than people who look like you and they have the right to live where ever they like.

~Obviously "Sen b" has a big chip on her shoulder. In my area at least, whites are the minority and have been since the mexicans have been able to get here legally, yet illegally! It's my guess the are invading everywhere.
There is still whining done by quite a few blacks. It would be better if they quit playing the victim because of the color of their skin.~
Peace

It depends on the "where" in the question but I don't think either are.

If it's USA you're talking about, there are so many races and mixed races accounted for that certainly white or black would not be the minority.

I could be wrong. I'd like to know myself.

Everyone is so intermingled it's hard to say. The Spanish people seem to be becoming the majority.
