I read the book "wake in fright" and I will want to know if that Tiboonda city and bundanyabba city really exist.

They are made up, but their names reflect a lot of Australian place names based on Aboriginal words.

No they are made up for the book purposes. You cant write about people in small towns so its best that they use a made up name for a town.
