A teenage girl who plays tennis, her mum is a chorus girl, she goes to a tennis tournament and does really well, the song in the movie was HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT. Thats about all I remember of the movie, I am chasing a name, so that I might be able to buy it, if anyone knows let me know. Thanks

I think you are remembering the movie Spring Fever. It has Carling Bassett (a Canadian tennis player at the time) as the teenage girl and Susan Anton as her showgirl mother. The movie begins with the girl hustling a fat man at tennis, with the Pat Benatar song Hit Me With Your Best Shot playing in the background.
