No, but I believe U2 supported the IRA

No - the IRA are motivated by anger and hatred.
If they received any "inspiration" for their murder and violence it came from Teddy Kennedy and his friends who raised the money to buy their guns and Semtex - not Bono Vox and U2.
I believe U2 support Irish Nationalism, as do most Catholics from the island of Ireland. But the vast majority do so through non-violent organisations and political parties such as the SDLP, Fine Foil and Fean Gaele.
I have not heard any evidence that U2 supported Provisional Sinn Feinn.

Ok, it is a bit surprising for me to know that Bono is going to accept the big honour from England and all that, ok it is a bit dissapointed for me to know that he is going to say Ok.
But, I can not say that U2 inspire anyway any movement terrorist, sorry, I mean, maybe it would be fine if you want to find him some fail to be named as Sir, but better look for in another way...you know...

Bono is one of the worst liberals going these days. He preaches peace and charity, but he is getting rich off of the work of others. Very pathetic.
