Guess I shouldn't have said dominant
and submissive. Just masculine and feminine. These are just aspects we take on in our world. And as you say, only those
who can balance the give and take have
"successfu" relationships.

Well I guess you could be right, I mean there's gotta be someone in a gay relationship who's somewhat submissive, seeing as one of the two have to be on the bottom taking the other one's "power".

That happens anytime people form into a group. Someone must take the lead or the group falls apart, whether it's a group of 2 or an entire country. We humans are not solitary and therefore not independent. That's just nature.

I think that in every relationship there will be a dominant partner.
straight or gay it doesn't matter it is just a couple thing. Someone has to be the decision maker in the relationship.

well that is a heap of bull s
every relationship has to have two people willing to give and take
give love to get love
both should be equal to the relationship in good times and bad otherwise it will never last

Actually no. Relationships that are more than one nighters usually involve a lot of give and take by both partners be they hetero couples or homosexual couples.

I think you're over generalising...I've been with my girl for 3 years, we got married in the summer. Neither one of us is more butch and domineering, we share an equal footing in our relationship, and i wouldn't have it any other way!

This may or may not be true, but I had a boyfriend who thought he was dominant, until the day he cheated on me and laughed about it.

I wrecked his flat and knocked him out.

He doesn't speak to me anymore.
