Because they are still infinitely more watchable than my Vikes. They may not have made the playoffs, but at least you had an entertaining year. In Minny we were treated to 20 games of garbage and a see you next year.

So you must have become a a Bengals fan when they started playing well the past few years. That team sucked through the 90's too my friend. If you're a fan of a team, be a fan of that team though thick and thin. I've been a Saints fan for about 10 years and other than 2000 or this season I know dissapointment.

I feel your pain, have been a Bengal fan since the mid 70's and cannot understand what exactly happened this time - Shane Graham missing a 39 yard field goal which woulda put them into the playoffs, OUCH! But, it is what it is...
If C Perry can ever stay healthy, they will have a legit outside threat...
By the way - Chad led the NFL in receiving yards this season (a 1st for a Bengal receiver) and led the AFC in rec yards for 4th straight season (NFL record - no one else has ever led their conference in rec yards 4 straight years - not even Rice!!)
On Indy... hmm, beat KC, beat SD, lose to Baltimore in championship game???

Look, you have a lot more reason to be hopeful than I do. I'm a Lions fan. The Lions have problems starting with ownership and the general manager. (Apparently they're trying to set records for futility - or trying to make back all the money Ford lost last year by betting against the Lions)
So, next time you're tempted to give up on the Bengals, just console yourself by saying to yourself, "At least they don't suck as bad as the Detroit Lions."

Get used to mediocrity. The Bungals are better at putting players on arrest reports than winning important football games. At least they're first at something------most arrests in a season.
