It gets annoying and old when people turn innocuous words into something dirty. And it's not even creative.

It annoys me a little, yes. I used to use a chat room and 'swear' words were edited. I couldn't even say 'hob nob' (which is a brand of biscuit).
I think it would actually be funny if someone came up with a new meaning for the word 'yahoo', then maybe Yahoo answers would have to change it's name.

Ever hear of homonyms and homophones? The word derived from the French "gae" ability chuffed and carefree.the different word gay isn't a version of the only which ability easy-hearted and carefree, nonetheless i'm confident that overtone is often present, through fact it does describe us, too. in this sense, this is cognate with the German and Dutch word "geil", stated in yet differently in the two languages and meaning "sexy" (US) "randy" (British); this courting makes me ask your self purely how long the word could have been used interior the perforce secret gay international in the previous it surfaced usually in gay bars and pubs for the duration of the English-talking international interior the Nineteen Nineteen Twenties, whilst steadily the threat of persecution replaced into receding. all of us be attentive to it replaced into used interior the 18th century to describe something sexually off-coloration. English and German or Dutch have been final jointly intelligible purely approximately one thousand years in the past, yet there have been quite a few waves of German and Dutch immigration into England and Scotland when you consider that then. As i don't regard gay human beings as ""twisted", "crooked",queer" or "bent" and the heteros as "right now", I describe myself as "gay", and ward off the pseudo-scientific time era "gay" once I can, as i don't regard myself as "sick", the two.

I understand what you mean. Until I used the internet, I never knew certain foul replacements for ordinary words. I wish I had never had my mind sullied like that.
