get a dvd dycrypter by goin on to google and typing free dvd dycrypter.
once youv downloaded the free trial it'l search the disk drive for the dvd and download it to wherever you want

Put the DVD in the drive.

Right-click on the START button.

Select EXPLORE.

Scroll down the left side until you locate the DVD. Click on it.

Highlight all of the stuff in the right screen (just hit CTRL-A to highlight everything) and drag it to whatever drive on the left side you want to.

what you could do is use an emulator to somehow create a 'virtual drive' and copy the dvd onto it. sorry i don't know how to do this fully because i havn't actually done it myself but i THINK a tool like daemon tools can do it (link below)

With your dvd media player, you should be able to rip them, just like you do with audio cd's. But you do need a dvd media player.
