I'm right-handed, but I play pool left-handed.

It doesn't matter if you play a left or right handed guitar as far as speed goes. Hendrix played a righty with his left hand and some people say he benefited from it because the vol/tone knobs were closer to his hands.
You can learn how to play faster thru lessons and practice, but it seems blazing speed is something only special players are gifted with. EVH, Satch, Vai, Malmsteen, & Paul Gilbert are great examples of. It's all about hand/eye coordaination and natural ability and dexterity. Good luck....

Have you tried playing the left handed way? Practice both ways right handed and left handed and see which you do better in. Then just keep practicing. You'll get there eventually.
