The whole story in a nutshell .. My scizophrenic neighbor had to be corrected after the New Years ball dropped, cuz I walked out just to hear him say ... *****, *****, *****, and even something about pick my cotton. So I hit his skull area about 3 times, and now I fractured my hand, although the x-ray says, I BROKE IT !

My question is ... I don't feel it, which is good, but should I be feeling it ? I only see a visible injury, sort of like my ring fingers knuckle is pushed back ... ANY FEEDBACK would help !

The first thing you need to check is your attitude. If I hit everybody that called me a honky jive-*** cracker I wouldn't have any fingers left. You can't control the ignorance in the world. All you can control is yourself.
You can change the hate, or you can be a dumbass and perpetuate it. The choice is yours.

As for your hand, the reason you don't feel it is that you don't feel anything. You have become a robot controlled by peer pressure and hiphop.
Stand up! Be a man!..not a black man, not a white man, just a MAN!
This goes for any man of any race. No hate mail please.
I had it rough growing up, but I don't spend my life making you or anybody else pay for it. I am my master!!!!

First of all you shouldn't be hitting people like that. You said that he was schizophrenic and as such you knew that he would do and say things that weren't quite right. You should have cut the guy some slack.
Secondly a fracture is a break, there is no difference.
If you have absolutely have to to hit somebody or something, you need to learn how to do so without breaking your hand. If it makes you feel any better, most people haven't figured that technique out yet.
Lastly , there are a lot of reasons that you may not feel it, you may be really stoned, you may have nerve damage or it may simply be the type of break that doesn't hurt immediately- not all do.

I think that you shouldn't have hit him and that you want to feel the pain because you feel guilty about what you did
