I am running Windows XP home edition

The memory is always the same, although some is used as you do things on the computer. When you're through doing stuff, the memory returns to it's normal state.

You're probably wondering how much SPACE you have left on your hard drive - that is, storage space for more games, pictures, and stuff. Just double click the MY COMPUTER icon, and the right-click the C: drive, and select PROPERTIES to learn how much space is left.

Right-click on My Computer. Select the properties menu item. You will see it near the bottom of the Properties window you opened.

If you are talking about your hard drive, you open "My Computer" and right click on your hard drive (Local Disc "C" or "D" - whichever applies). It will show you how much is being used and how much is free.

memory or hard drive?? hard drive all you have to do is go to start my computer right click on the drive c and go to properties
