A Guide to Bats says that bat calls undulate loud shouts between 35-18kHz risings and falling 4 times in 35ms. What does 'ms' stand for? is it milliseconds or minutes?

I would think ms is milliseconds as minutes are usually abbreviated to mins. Hope this helps.

Think about how long a minute is and how big a bat's lungs are and how much air you would need to sustain a shout and the answer will be yours.
