3 months is hardly anytime at all when trying for a baby. It took me a year to become pregnant.
1. Have sex three times a week.
Having regular sex is the best way to get pregnant. Couples often try to time everything perfectly for ovulation but do not have sex when they think they are not ovulating. It is true that sex that is not within the time of ovulation will not result in pregnancy. However, because women do not always ovulate when they think they will, having sex three times a week will help to a woman cover her bases, so to speak, and not miss an opportunity to get pregnant.
Don’t smoke, drink alcohol, or abuse drugs when trying to get pregnant.
This may seem like common sense but many women do try to get pregnant while smoking, drinking or using drugs. Smoking, drugs, and alcohol can affect your fertility. It will also affect your unborn child. It is important to stop smoking or using drugs and alcohol before getting pregnant and not wait until you find out you are pregnant.
Have sex in positions that keep sperm inside the vagina longer.
The missionary position is a good position to use when trying to get pregnant. Avoid positions where the woman is on top. Gravity will allow sperm to leak out with these positions. Also try placing a pillow under your hips to help tilt your pelvis and keep the sperm in longer. Don’t get up right after sex. Try to relax and allow the sperm to stay in the vagina as long as possible.
Stop worrying for now, if you get to a year or better and still have not gotten pregnant see a doctor.

The most important thing is timing. One day after her period is way too early.
On average, women tend to ovulate around 14 days after the start of their period. That is, the first day of her period is day 1, then count up to day 14.
Here is an ovulation calculator to help you figure out exactly which days to have sex: http://www.babyhopes.com/ovulation-calendar/
Just follow the instructions.
In general, it helps if the woman does not run to the shower and wash out all the sperm. Have your wife elevate her hips and wait for a bit before washing up. This will give the sperm a chance to get where they need to go.
Peeing or not is irrelevant, and the pee comes out of a totally different hole.
Good luck, and bear in mind that it can take several months.

Read some books on how to conceive. They can be very informative and are available at the local library.
It may be that you guys are not be trying at the right time or other factors like diet, too much coffee intake etc.... can make things hard. A woman is only fertile for around 10days (when she is ovulating). So she can only fall pregnant during this time. Don't remember exactly when this is, but it is around two weeks after the first day of her period. Since sperm can survive for around 48hrs after ejaculation it dosn't hurt to try even before ovulation is due to start.
3 months is not really long enough to worry about why she hasn't fallen pregnant yet. It took six months for my first and has taken longer for others despite how disheartened it can make you feel. Sometimes it is best not to try so hard. Save your energy and your sperm for that 10 day period.
Also once she knows roughly when ovulation is due she may become in tune with her body and can actually feel when it starts. I became in tune with mine and new when it had started each time in the month. It only took two months to conceive my second knowing how to time it. Good luck!!

Give it some more time & stop stressing about it. Your sister's advice may have some truth but i wouldn't put too much faith in something that is not proven, tested or researched. The best time to conceive is during ovulation & women usually ovulate mid cycle (half way through periods). Not all women ovulate at that time however. I have seen ovulation test packs at major supermarkets otherwise you could get advice from your doctor. Either way it can take up to 12 months or longerto fall pregnant for most healthy couples. Good luck!

work out when she is ovulating and have sex every 2nd day that week and a few days after she ovulates. I ovulated on a friday so my husband and i had sex every other day the week leading up to ovulating and we fell pregnant ( sorry for all the details) It has been found that having sex every 2nd day is better as your sperm count is greater. Having sex everyday will leave you with less sperm.

Hon, it took us two years to get pregnant. After a year, though, if you still haven't conceived, I would go visit a doctor, as this could mean that one of you isn't as fertile as you'd like to be to procreate.
The average couple, however, takes eight months to a year to conceive. Relax.
