the only offical sources are the London, Belfast & Edinmburg Gazettes. There are detemrined as the offical sources, as they are provided with official news and adverts / postings from the government.
Outside of that there are many in the UK
In newsprint there are the broad sheets like the Times, The Telegraph, The Guadian & Independant (and their realtives published on a Sunday eg the Sunday Times) and the FT. Personally I dont count the tabloids as a source of information.. titilation mebbe
In the Radio, there is only one really effetive national broadcaster the Beeb, on Radios 4 & 5Live
In TV there are the Beeb, ITV, SKY, Channel4 & Channel 5, although only the Beeb & ITV are truly national, and there are increasing doubts as to their accuracy and coverage.
in terms of agencies, providing stories to other media there are lots, Reuters, PA amongst others

I have a problem with the assumption that some news outlets are official, and others aren't. There's nothing that makes one organization more official than another. The official news organization of a given country is any news organization that sets up shop and delivers information to people, and all of them, collectively.
