Your the world power. Powerful nations always get battered. However, this is no excuse. America opens itself up to the world for a battering. What sort of a country says that it upholds liberty, freedom and human rights, yet at the same time passes laws to legalise torture, invades other countries, and holds people in prison indefinitely without trial (Guantanamo Bay Prison). Even your own legal system recognises that your military courts do not uphold justice.

being a world Super Power comes with the responsibility of being a world leader. Leaders with integrity are what people admire. Unfortunately, your president has damaged the Honourable USA. Your past (WWII) shows that your country has the potential to be a great world leader, and it used to be. However, recently the USA has abused its power (shall we say drunk on power) and has ignored the world (the United Nations). The very fact that some of you Americans say that it is your job to police the world is an example of current problems. No single country has the right to control another country. All countries are equal, regardless of size, wealth or power. No country is more equal than any other country. That said, no country is perfect. My own country (Australia) is far from righteous.

Happy New Year.

Because they are the new Roman empire. They are a threat to world peace. They are the worst dictatorship to have ever graced the earth. They are responsible for the deaths of millions of people. If we do not speak against them, we would be just as bad as the Germans who sat back and allowed the holocaust to happen. We must speak up against injustice.

A lot of it has to do with public opion when it comes from other countries. No issue ever garners 100% support. When it comes from other Americans it's just the liberal losers who are still whining about losing the last two presidential elections.

Because the USA is presently led by an idiot who is surrounded by a bunch of extreme right wing thugs who have no sensitivity towards anyone with views different to their own.
Not only is the World a more dangerous place because of the antics of these clowns, the American nation is in danger from within. Their people are losing the freedoms that were the bedrock of the constitution.

Because people are largely ignorant of US policy, even our own. Most of us who post here, while passionate about our beliefs, honestly know nothing.
I will gladly include myself in that. There's a lot I don't know. But I don't make it a habit to judge other countries, unless I've talked to people who live in that country.
That's the mistake that many foreigners are making.
Our own citizens are making the mistake of listening to the foreigners, but they haven't bothered to study history, political science, economics, or civics.
So back to my original statement: The people are largely ignorant.

Well ,
I can tell you this. I'm a Canadian. I live in a boarder city and hear almost as much of it as you do. Quit frankly... I love the US of A. It is a great country and so is Canada. We are two of the most developed countries in the world. Yes the US is a super power to be reckoned with. It's only natural for other countries to bash the US because it is that easy. All the ppl who do the bashing don't quit get it, and for that it's there problem. It's what they need to get over. Remember, it's their problem, not yours to get over. Go USA!!! We love ya!

For many reasons. Such as our "war on terrorism" why did we wait so long to retaliate? The methods we are using are ineffective causing our soldiers lives. We should have been swift with no remorse. The Saddam Trial...Did you know the US actually put him in power? The fact that we bully other countries into changing governments and leaders that fit for the moment then when it backfires we spend millions...billions to eradicate them Saddam, Castro, Colombian Drug Cartel, Nicaragua Guerrillas and many many more. That the US steps in to help Countries such as Kuwait, spend millions to rebuild a rich country which we saved then get jacked on oil supplies. We sanction countries from aid or products for the public because those in power wont stand down to our demands without regard to the people. The fact that we send aid to poor starving people in Africa or wherever and we neglect the poor and starving here. Not to mention how we publicize Bill Getting a BJ and make a big deal of it when there are more important issues and accomplishments that go unrecognized. How does the publicity make other diplomats view ours? The US makes a mockery of itself. But despite it all I'M DAMN PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN! We've saved the very countries that ridicule us from speaking German or Italian. We are the worlds Police force, unfortunately sometimes it gets used and abused.

Nothing is more common in ideologically driven politics than the triumph of conviction over evidence and reason.

You can fool some of the people some of the time. Sooner than later, we wake up.

The truth hurts. The USA's "bsttering is utterly justified.
