Once, just after my husband came, i heard a voice clear as day tell me that i was going to have a child. (more specific wording but won't mention that).
Next day when we went out i wouldn't drink wine and told my husband that i heard a voice and that i was pregnant. He just laughed but about 2 weeks later i didn't get my period, and pregnancy test confirmed it. Prior to this we had been trying for about 3 years to conceive.
Has anyone else had this sort of experience? I ended up losing this child to a miscarriage and always wonder why God (or whoever) went to the bother of telling me i was pregnant just to take the child away again ???? I know some of you will make fun, thats cool, but i look forward to the serious answers.
thanks

By the way this was a once off event. I don't hear voices all the time. That is what made it so unusual and so intriguing.

Wow, that's an amazing story. I'm very sorry to hear about your miscarriage. That is a terrible loss to experience. I have no idea why that happened and I won't even try to answer the "why?" but I will say that it is cool that you experienced God speaking to you. I'm glad that you believe that it was God and I hope that you trust that God only wants the best for you. I believe that God is good and wants to help you and allow you to prosper. I don't know why he would allow your child to die, but I know that God will take your child in his arms, protect and love your child.

On a separate note, if you and your husband have struggled to conceive, would you consider adoption? I was adopted myself as a baby and I plan to adopt. I think it is a great option - there are many children who need to be loved and are waiting to return that love to you.

Good luck! Thank you for sharing your story. I wish you the best as you heal from your loss.

I know a christian who hears voices all the time from the holy spirit. She goes out and sells god. She tells everyone she rejoices in the word of god, etc, etc... she is a liar, a thief and generally has a bad reputation. I don't know what she hears in her head. Perhaps more religious delusions, perhaps something else entirely...

I know several people that insist they have seen ghosts. And I keep telling them... are you sure they were ghosts! Why make the assumption. It could be anything. For thousands of years, these ghost stories could have been anything.

Also many people who have engaged in ouija board. Same thing here. It's usually a "spirit" or "ghost"... whatever that means... or whatever the "spirit" insists that they are.

I'll end the examples...

There are unexplained events that people put labels on. That's all they do. Millions and millions of people believing in these labels and the obvious fantasy that is religion. No one has an answer for you because of the caveman mentality that persists. Few people do any real research. The whole field of the paranormal is a joke (except for a few good researches that don't make assumptions).

There is something amiss and people should get their heads out of their **** and start looking at the many possibilities that are out there. Until that happens, the best people can do is relate their stories but NOT draw any conclusions from them. You have done exactly that (except that the specific wording and the dates were important. Of course, we all underdstand the need for some anonymity).

I am sorry for you and your family over this loss. Maybe one day we'll learn why these things are happening.

As another answer said, You're higher power told yourself...Yes. I think that is true. We all having something within us that is directly connected with the higher power, or higher knowledge.

And you said that you would have had wine later that night. And you didn't because you knew, and that was a protection for the baby.

This was all still important knowledge at the time that you got it. Because the miscarriage had not happened yet.

I guess it works like news. News is either new news which we can use, or old news which can be tossed away when no longer useful.

I am sorry for you're loss. I think you're question is very interesting because it gives new info to the way that things work.

do you actually heard a voice? usually telepathic people just get a thought in their conscience zone which feels a little different from their own and it's the same when source is... unknown.

some people say women know when they get pregnant, their body sure knows since it reacting immediately. maybe the voice it was an unusual way for your body to tell you what did happen.
It is known that mind has a strong tendency to convert information in a known form - that's why illusions exist.

observation: There is some time until the ovule is fecundated, I'm not exactly sure how much... 10 - 15 min.

Maybe it was just intuition? Like your body knew and was trying to tell you. There was a programme on tv a while ago that suggested all voices people hear are just our subconscious manifesting themselves into our spoken thoughts.

Who knows, maybe it was your body already aware of it and actually letting your conscious mind know just to be nice. Strange... Sorry for the loss though
